Ted Leitner

From Gaslamp Ball Wiki - A Wiki for San Diego Padres Fans

Ted Leitner is a longtime Padres radio broadcaster who partnered with Jerry Coleman. He is also frequently the MC at many Padres special celebrations, such as Opening Day or when Tony Gwynn's number was retired. He has been a fixture of the San Diego sports media hosting his own talk shows on local radio, doing sports updates for local news networks including CBS affiliate KFMB and announcing San Diego State Aztec football and basketball games. He is known for stuttering as he speaks and almost never giving the score as well as asking Jerry Coleman "What'd you do today Jer?" Ted's delivery is somewhat not unlike a carnival barker, but it grows on you.

Affectionately referred to as "Uncle Teddy". This nickname was given to him by Scott Kaplan on the former Scott and BR radio show.
