From Gaslamp Ball Wiki - A Wiki for San Diego Padres Fans

Steve Garvey aka "The Garv" is a former Padre and Dodger who is most famous among Padres fans for hitting a walk-off home run in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series in 1984 against the Chicago Cubs. This is perhaps the greatest, most clutch home run in Padres history. It is either the greatest or second-greatest moment in San Diego sports depending on who you ask.
