Drew Cumberland

Drew Cumberland was a Padres prospect. Cumberland was a supplemental first-round pick in 2007. Represented the Padres in the 2010 Futures Game in Anaheim.[1] Entering the 2011 season, he was the 9th ranked prospect in the San Diego Padres organization by Baseball America.[2] He was forced to contemplate retirement at age 22 after being diagnosed with Bilateral Vestibulopathy.[3] Although initially cleared to resume baseball activities for the 2012 season, he ended up retiring in march of that year.[4]
