Carrie Prejean, aka Pad Squad Carrie, is a former Pad Squad member who was known to jbox and Dex as "the one who knew how to throw." She tried to become one of the models on Deal or No Deal, which involved a contest driven by a public vote. Gaslamp Ball promoted the contest and attempted to help her win, but those efforts proved fruitless as she only finished in 2nd place.
She then competed in the Miss USA pageant as the Miss California representative where she also finished 2nd as well (or first runner-up as it is referred to in the pageant world).
She married Kyle Boller in 2010, who became a Chargers QB briefly in 2012 at the end of his mediocre NFL career.
However, her appearance in the pageant is best known for her answer given during the Q&A portion. Prejean was asked by pageant judge, and all-around douchebag, Perez Hilton whether she believed every U.S. state should legalize same-sex marriage. She responded:
Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And, you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised and I believe that it should be between a man and a woman.
The answer was lambasted by Perez Hilton on his blog and the controversy brewed until it led to her eventual removal of the first runner-up title.
On November 9th, 2009, TMZ revealed that it had selfishly been hoarding delicious cake in the form of a sex tape starring Prejean. In the video, Prejean is seen putting down signs as a catcher would. However, an unidentified feline that was on set during filming was so bored, it walked away.
