Cory Luebke, a left-handed starting pitcher, debuted with the Padres in 2010. He pitched very well for the 2010 team that nearly made the playoffs and was a stud on the 2011 club. Before the start of the 2012 season he was given a contract extensions worth $12 million that bought out his arbitration years. However, during that 2012 season Luebke hurt his elbow and would need Tommy John Surgery to repair it. There was talk that the the injury came in one game versus the Phillies and ace Roy Halladay as a "result of trying to throw too hard and love too deeply". In 2014, Luebke would require a second Tommy John surgery after the first one failed to take.
If you shorten his name to Lueb, it sounds like something you would use to make the sex.
